Thomas had relocated to Madison Co, Miss. when he sold land on Otter Creek in 1817. Ref: (W.C. Deed Book B, page 462

Thomas Johnson

This Thomas Johnson was delinquent in taxes in 1811. He also was insolvent at this time.  Unfortunately, he was also recorded as being “ded” (dead).

Moses Johnson gave bond for marriage of Clift Johnson and Betsy Johnson, 10 Jan 1808

James D. Johnson

b. 1829

James Johnson and Albina Jane Asey were married 25 November 1857 at the house of Margaret Asey. Matthew Floyd, a Baptist, performed this ceremony. The groom was age 26 (born 1831, another source says 1829 as does his tombstone) and was born at James Johnson's house in Wayne County. The bride was age 22, a resident of Wayne County, who was born in Franklin County, Indiana. Present was a James Brown. (Wayne Co., Kentucky "Marriages and Vital Records 1801-1860, Vol I by June Baldwin Bork, 1972)

His father was possibly Robert Johnson, b. 1807 

The couple is buried in the New Salem Church (Old Section) Cemetery, Frazer, KY.  Tombstone inscription is:

"James D. Johnson, 1829 -1908

Albina Johnson, 1837-1927"

     Amanda A., b. 1868

     Charles T. "Chalkey", b. 1789, married 1901 to Alice Miller, b. 1879 in Wayne Co, KY.  

                 Child was:  Elizabeth Marie, b. 1905, Pulaski Co, KY

 

 

 

Samuel Johnson

Samuel married Rachel Smith in 1805 in Wayne County.  Rachel Smith was the stepdaughter of William Harbord.   Her mother, Sarah Fugate? Smith, was the first wife of William.  Sarah was previously married to  (Unknown) Smith. 

In 1812, he sold land on Otter Creek near Big Spring. He had received this land on patent in 1807. Ref: (W.C. Deed Book A, page 44-46)

In 1814 he owned 150 acres land on Otter Creek. Ref: (W.C. Deed Book B, page 194-5)
